About Bratislava Airport
M. R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava (IATA code BTS, ICAO LZIB) is the largest airport in Slovakia. It lies about 9 km north-east of the city centre in the Ružinov district, so you can usually get there by bus or car in 20 to 30 minutes. Scheduled flights are operated mainly by low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizz Air, and in summer there are also holiday charter flights to Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Spain and Bulgaria.
On this site you will find live departures and arrivals, how to get to the airport by bus, taxi or car, and a comparison of parking at the airport – from short-stay drop-off to long-stay car parks.
We recommend arriving at the airport about two hours before departure, and earlier for flights outside the Schengen area. Hand luggage rules differ by airline, so always check them with your airline. Flight information on this site is for guidance only; changes of time, gate or cancellations are always confirmed by your airline.
Bratislava is close to Vienna, so many travellers also compare flights from Vienna-Schwechat Airport, about 50 km away.
